Créé en 2004 par Pierre Darmon, Bonsaï Music s‘est rapidement orienté sur le développement d’un catalogue Jazz de qualité avec pour philosophie de réconcilier ce genre musical avec un large public. Son catalogue se compose à la fois d’artistes de grande renommée mais également de nouveaux talents très prometteurs. On retrouve un grand nombre d’artiste de la scène Jazz française et italienne (André Ceccarelli, Enrico Pieranunzi, Jean Pierre Como, Musica Nuda, Matthieu Boré …) mais également des artistes de la scène Jazz internationale tels que Ben Sidran, Leo Sidran ou Jody Sternberg. L’objectif de Bonsaï Music est de regrouper au sein de son catalogue des artistes pour lesquels l’aspect mélodique de leurs compositions constitue l’une des premières démarches de leur parcours artistique. Par ailleurs, l’esprit qui anime Bonsaï music consiste à faire du label une véritable maison de disque au sein de laquelle nous tentons d’établir des liens et collaborations entre les différents artistes qui y résident.

Bonsaï Music was founded in 2004 by Pierre Darmon. From the very beginning, the label focused on developing a high-quality jazz catalogue with the philosophy of reconnecting this musical genre with a wider audience. Its catalogue brings together both internationally renowned artists and highly promising new talents. It features many artists from the French and Italian jazz scenes (André Ceccarelli, Enrico Pieranunzi, Jean-Pierre Como, Musica Nuda, Matthieu Boré…), as well as artists from the international jazz scene such as Ben Sidran, Leo Sidran and Jody Sternberg. The aim of Bonsaï Music is to bring together artists whose work places melodic composition at the heart of their artistic approach. At the same time, the spirit that drives Bonsaï Music is to build a true record label community, where we seek to foster connections and collaborations between the artists who are part of the label.
